Participating Academic Units

The Applied Economics Graduate Program is a unique partnership of applied economists representing four different academic units from across the University of Minnesota’s Twin Cities campus:

All program faculty participate in the governance of our program, serve as academic and thesis advisors, or teach program classes.

Faculty from the Department of Applied Economics provide primary support for our fields of specialization in Consumer Behavior and Household Economics, Development  and Trade Economics, Production and Marketing Economics,  and Resource and Environmental Economics.  They also provide supplementary support for our fields of specialization in Labor Economics and Policy Analysis.

Faculty from the Department of Human Resources & Industrial Relations provide primary support for our field of specialization in Labor Economics.

Faculty from the Division of Health Policy & Management provide primary support for our field of specialization in Health Economics.

Faculty from the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs provide primary support for our field of specialization in Policy Analysis.
