The following materials should be sent directly to the Graduate School:

  • Application fee.***

  • Photocopies of Official Score Reports for the GRE and TOEFL.*

  • Current registration information. Indicate if you are currently enrolled in an academic institution.

  • An official transcript from each college or university you have attended. An official English translation should be attached to transcripts that are not in English.

Be sure to use the correct major code and major field name when completing items 13 and 14 on the Graduate School application form. The major field name for our program is Applied Econ and the major field codes are 008331508 for the MS program and 008360208 for the PhD. Entering an incorrect major can cause the materials you send to be misdirected and can delay evaluation of your application.

* Applications will be reviewed with photocopies of the GRE and TOEFL test results. However, the Graduate School must receive official TOEFL scores before a student is officially admitted. Use institution code number 6874 for both GRE and TOEFL. Use department code number 0101 for the GRE and 99 for the TOEFL. Official reports of scores for the GRE can be sent either to the Graduate School or to the Department, but we prefer that they be sent directly to the Department.

** If you cannot apply on-line, please contact the Department and explain why you are unable to apply on-line. Permission to submit handwritten forms will be granted on a very limited basis. These forms are available through the Departmental office.

*** The Graduate School will not process your application until they receive the application fee. Policies regarding application fees are set by the Graduate School. They have informed us that a waiver of the fee is not possible.
